Not knowing

...humming an old tune,
he walked in the woods
not knowing where he was going,
where he would go,
what he was doing,
what he would do.

A young sapling that was thrown,
he picked up and soiled
and went ahead along an unknown path,
not knowing where he was going,
where he would go.

All his dreams he dreamt
he had fulfilled, the rythms
of coins, he heard for long
but one day, he was bugged.
and discovered that"Not knowing"
was surprising and fulfilling.

So he moved on,
not knowing where he was going,
where he would go,
what he was doing,
what he would do...

Loneliness

Not the absence of people around
but a feeling of seclusion
from the crowd.
Fearing fall of self-love
when you attempt not to give
love,
the ungiven love that you never deserved
will one day imprison you
behind the bars of loneliness.
To love is the only way
to be loved..

Searching for dreams...

Through the rusty panes
my eyes gazed searching for dreams
of others..

The dreams of an old man,
I found
wrapped in his beedi-
being puffed until he coughed.

In the eyes of a middle-aged woman,
I saw her dreams
running for cover
lest be seen.

In a young, clean-shaven man,
I found dreams
punched and filed
awaiting to be opened.

Beside me slept a baby.
"This one has no dreams",thought I.
Just then, its eyes opened and shone
with a million sparkling dreams!
